Filling the void of public 4th of July fireworks display in the Antelope Valley and continuing a new tradition, the City of Lancaster is sponsoring their annual Fireworks Spectacular this year at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds!   Now, this isn’t just a fireworks display … This is a whole evening of fun for the whole family!

The afternoon begins with live entertainment at 4pm in the AV Fairground’s Cantina area until 7pm where the excitement moves to the Grandstands for the Professional Bull Riders Touring Pro Division Rodeo!   There is a $20 admission fee for the rodeo and tickets can be purchased on the AV Fairgrounds website.

The Grandstands open for FREE admission to the fireworks show at 9pm and the display begins at 9:15pm.  Parking is free for the evening festivities and since seating is limited, bring lawnchairs or blankets to relax in the grass areas outside of the stands.

For more information, you can call the City of Lancaster at 661-723-6077.

On a side note, please remember that ALL fireworks are illegal in the City of Lancaster!  There are stiff fines and penalties if you’re caught lighting off any – including the “Safe-and-Sane” fireworks sold in other areas of the Antelope Valley.
